 Sierra Bailey is the jewelry designer and independent
artist behind all of the handmade jewelry and paintings here
at Manic Trout. She designs jewelry that is both colorful
and unique and inspired by vintage materials,
vivid colors, photography, beauty and all that surrounds her.
Incorporating unusual combinations of materials,
textures, colors and styles, Manic Trout jewelry will provide
that little something you've been missing in your jewelry collection.
When not making jewelry, Sierra paints original paintings
mostly abstract expressionistic with oils, watercolor and
collage. She tends to explore her mediums and liberally play
with color, the end result being vibrant and energetic pieces.

Sierra earned her BFA from Syracuse University
School of Art & Design in Computer Graphics (2D and 3D
animation) with a minor in Painting, and while there took
classes in every department she could from Advertising to Sculpture
and all that there was to offer in between.
In 2003, she began Manic Trout continuing to explore the many avenues
of art and design, dabbling in multiple genres and taking Manic
Trout through quite a few mediums during its early years.
In January of 2006, Sierra realized that jewelry design was
her true calling and painting her true love...so she finally
stopped trying to do it all and begin to hone her skills in
these genres, she opened the online shop you are now visiting
and set to work.
When not running Manic Trout and working in her studio, Sierra
can usually be found walking her dog Faye and trying as hard
as possible to stop working for just a few hours in order to
hang out with her very understanding friends and family.
